What was once an average farmhouse built in the XVII century, has been renovated into a splendid high class boutique hotel. It took 7 years of re-construction to turn it into a very unique and special hotel, boasting 12 individual bedrooms where guests can enjoy their own privacy and a family atmosphere, and the lovely restaurant which offers exquisite food and beautiful surrounding premises suitable for any special event.

events-hotel-mozairaDuring the winter season, the orange and lemon trees beautiful citric aroma is spread over the hotel’s gardens and terraces, creating a refreshing and magical atmosphere. There are extensive lands and fields belonging to the hotel to be found nearby, such as vegetable fields where tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins are grown and harvested freshly for the guest’s meals.

The hotel Mozaira was founded by the well-known Polo family from Alboraya – the same family that back in 1960ies invented the popular sweet pastry called farton that locals dip in the traditional beverage made from tiger-nuts – horchata. There is even the Museum of Horchata within 200 m distance from the hotel and it is considered to be a truly authentic place to learn more about the history of horchata, it´s elaboration process and its importance in Valencia´s people´s lives.

An interesting fact is that each room is unique and very personal and is named after their female ancestors. It´s a tribute to the family’s women who have been brave, strong and noble and have maintained their identity throughout difficult times.

When staying at the hotel, the whole environment offers endless opportunities to discover the beauty of this authentic Valencian region. Hiring a bicycle is a great way to visit the local irrigation ditches, windmills, farmhouses, barracks, hermitages… Less than 1 km from the hotel there is a beach with white sand and transparent water, that is enriched by a maritime village Port Saplaya, sometimes called the “little Venice” thanks to is architecture and channels with yachts and boats.
